What is Vastu ?
Vastu is an age old science which has its origin in AtharvaVeda. It deals about optimum arrangement of 5 basic elements of nature and their distribution in 16 Vastu directions.
These basic elements are : AIR, FIRE, EARTH, SPACE, WATER.
Directions
According to Vastu Shastra, there are 16 directions in which 5 basic elements are distributed. Today, we are going to talk about North East direction which consists of Water element.
Its previous zone is North of North East and its next zone is East of North East.
Attributes of North East direction
North East direction denotes Mental Clarity. If basic element of this zone, i.e. Water is disturbed by any misplacement of elements, then mental clarity and thinking power of the inhabitants of such place may be hampered.
Kitchen/Fire element/Red colour in this zone can result in unwanted and unexpected short temperedness among the family members.
Any heavy storage/ yellow colour in this zone can result in blockage of thoughts. Normal thinking capacity gets hampered due to such placement.
Zonal Strength
As per Vastu Shastra, zonal strength in North East Vastu zone should be sufficient in order
To avoid undesired life events to occur. Effective Vastu remedies should be prescribed by a vastu consultant in order to remove any bad effect due to any imbalance or cut in North East zone.
Ideal placements
According to Vastu Shastra norms, North East direction should be neat and clean to maintain
easy flow of positive vibes in the space. Usually, North East is the ideal zone for placement
of temples. Apart from that, placement of water bodies, objects of blue,white, green colour in permissible quantity is suggested here.
What not to place here
Any kind of heavy storage is to be strictly avoided here. Apart from that, Red,pink,yellow colours should not be applied in this direction as these denote anti element in this zone.
Kitchen or toilets also should not be placed here because such placements can bring very negative result for the inhabitants.
