What is Vastu ?
Vastu Shastra is an age old science.It has its origin in Atharv Veda. Through this great science, we come to know about the interplay of 5 basic elements in our surroundings. As a result, this creates its effect in our reality.
Application of Vastu for home
According to Vastu Shastra, one should arrange his/her home according to the methodologies prescribed in this great science. Furthermore, this science helps us to connect our true self with higher Cosmos. Therefore, it is truly said in the following Sanskrit Verse :
“ YAT PINDE TAT BRAHMANDE “
This means, we are all part of larger Universal Consciousness.
Different elements are in different zones
As per Vastu Shastra, there are 16 different Vastu zones in any given space. Moreover, each of these zones denotes different aspects of our lives. 5 basic elements should be spread over the 16 zones in balanced manner. Besides, any imbalance in the elemental distribution can result in adverse effects for the inhabitants. So, each of the 16 zones should be balanced as per Vastu norms. That should be done after matching with the symptoms coming up in the space.
There are 5 basic elements. They are :
FIRE, EARTH, SPACE, WATER AND WOOD.
Underground water reservoir and the element it indicates
As per Vastu Shastra, underground water reservoir denotes water element. Moreover, its friendly elements are Wood and Space. We should keep this in mind for appropriate positioning of reservoir.
Effect of its ( Water reservoir) presence in different zones and their implications
NORTH EAST
According to Vastu Shastra Norms, North East is the ideal direction for placement of underground water reservoir. This zone represents water element. Therefore, position of water reservoir here helps to boost zonal energy and vibes.
NORTH
As per Vastu Shastra, North is another ideal location for placement of water reservoir. This is the direction of water element. So, this placement here supports energy of this direction.
NORTH OF NORTH WEST
We can also select North of North West direction for placing underground water reservoir.
SOUTH WEST
Following Vastu Shastra rules, we should avoid South West direction for placing underground water reservoir. South West is the zone dedicated for Earth element. Therefore, keeping water element here shall result in elemental clash. Furthermore, placing reservoir in this direction may generate following outcome :
- hindrances in new career opportunities,
- inability to perform professional duties,
- problems in getting stability in life etc.
SOUTH EAST
Similarly, we should avoid South east zone for placing water reservoir too. Because, South East is the direction of Fire element. For that reason, placing reservoir here can result in damage of fire energy of this zone. So, this placement can give following effects :
- sudden cash loss,
- theft, accidents can be faced by the inhabitants of the house.
SOUTH
As per Vastu Shastra rules, South is also not suitable for placing underground water reservoir.Because, this can result in sleep disorder. Besides, this placement can also result in defamation of the family members.
Remedies for wrong placement as per vastu Shastra
If placed wrongly, it is better to relocate water reservoir, if possible. Otherwise,we can nullify bad effect of wrong placement through certain easy remedies as follows :
- Strip method,
- Paint applying etc.
So, we can see that , through proper compliance with Vastu Shastra principles, we can ensure growth and excellence we deserve in our life.
