We all live in the atmosphere which consists of the five basic elements,i.e. Fire,Air,Water,Earth and Space or Metal..In order to ensure optimum living,we must adhere to the rule of nature.Among these elements, Fire plays very important and vital role for our basic living.
What is the role of fire?
From primitive time, fire acts as protector.We use this sacred and vital element to transform raw materials to consumable food and thus keep ourselves alive.
Kitchen : symbol of sacred element “Fire” in a house hold
Kitchen is the place where we use fire to prepare the food for our living. As per Vastu,this important place of activity acts as symbol of fire element in our house.If we place our kitchen as per Vastu norms,we can derive the benefits in our lives.
If the fire element is disrupted due to wrong placement of kitchen,several problems may take place. Some effects because of wrong Vastu placement of kitchen :

WEST
West kitchen is ideal for restaurants serving seafood.
Now, let us look at the Vastu zones strictly prohibited for kitchen placement :
NORTH
If kitchen is placed in North Vastu direction,it can hamper career growth severely.
NORTH-EAST
Kitchen in North East Vastu zone can make serious ill effect on health.Apart from
that,this can cause short temperedness.
These directions denote Water element.As per Vastu principles, kitchen being
symbol of fire element, can create elemental clash and thus result in serious unwanted
situations.
Some useful Vastu rules to follow regarding kitchen :
In kitchen,the cook should face East while cooking.
Gas burner should never be directly opposite to the main entrance.
Gas burner should not come in East North East Vastu zone as this can result in unnecessary thoughts.
Gas burner should not come in South of South West direction as it can cause loss of money and health.
In kitchen, gas burner and sink should not be placed next to each other.
If the kitchen is placed in South East,we should avoid blue and grey colour here.
The drainage of water of sink should not be towards south direction.
Thus, we should always be cautious while placing kitchen in our house. Adhering to Vastu norms for Kitchen placement can cause better health, wealth and prosperity.
